The Peanut
Van was established way back in 1969. Over the last 32 years we've
serviced tens of thousands of customers from all over Australia and
the world, won multiple tourism awards and been recognised nationally (and
even internationally) as one of Kingaroy's best-known tourist
attractions.
Every year
we retail close to 40 tonnes of peanuts from our van. In addition
to this, we provide a mail-order service to thousands of loyal customers
all over Australia and the world. Customers who demand the best and
freshest jumbo-sized peanuts - right from the heart of Australia's
peanut capital.
Much of the
credit for what we are today goes to Ruth Davis, who founded the Peanut
Van with a $1,000 loan and (as she said herself) "much fear and trembling".
Ruth ran the Peanut Van right up until she retired on the 1st August 1999.
Today it's owned by Robbie and Chris Patch (that's us at the
bottom of this page) and we're committed to maintaining the same high standards
Ruth set.
